Fans will be the cornerstone of this year’s NRL season, as Hatch@Macleay league reporters Andre Cupido, Thomas Tobler and Caroline Layt discovered at the season launch in Sydney.
Hundreds of fans mingled with league stars and NRL officials, as Storm captain Cameron Smith took to the stage to launch one of the most highly anticipated seasons in recent memory.
The chosen launch venue… First Fleet Park in Sydney’s The Rocks.
NRL CEO Todd Greenberg also used the occasion to announce the code’s latest campaign: “This is how we league”.
“This year we chose a marketing campaign which is very unique,” he said. “[With] the relationship between our fans of the game at the heart of everything we do.
“It’s about confidently saying how proud we are and what we stand for. It’s about celebrating that truly diverse fan community and the relationship we have with our teams, the clubs, and the game.
“It’s about we, as a collective. Ultimately, we’re all in it together.”
