“I can stress on that too, there is more to come,” Mr Morrison said.
“It’s not set and forget, there will be more assistance and more to come on that soon.”
The Federal Government has a three-part response in place to help those affected.
The response includes direct financial assistance, a program to keep local economies moving and rebate assistance for farmers.
Mr Morrison said there were 21 projects nationally to help those areas affected by the drought.
“We can offer the support we have been delivering and we are increasing it,” Mr Morrison said.
“Not including the future drought fund, there is around $2.5 billion dollars of support. If you’re on the farm household allowance, which we have eased up, that will over a four-year period get you $125,000 per farming family.”
